Toowoomba residents and visitors to the region will have plenty to enjoy this New Year’s Eve with a fantastic fireworks display again lighting up Queens Park.

Toowoomba Region Mayor Paul Antonio said the fireworks display would again be free and held at the family friendly timeslot of 8.15pm on Saturday night. We encourage families to get out and celebrate the end of 2022 with a fireworks display at Queens Park.

‘While there will be no prior live entertainment again this year, we encourage families to grab some dinner at their favourite local eatery and bring a picnic rug to Queens Park for the 8.15pm display.

The New Year’s Eve fireworks is a much-loved family tradition and Council is proud to provide this free entertainment to celebrate the end of the year and to ring in the New Year with a bang,” Mayor Antonio said.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a parking spot nearby for the fireworks display from the Godsall Street Oval section of Queens Park in Toowoomba.
