Pittsworth Art Group Annual Exhibition

Pittsworth Art Group president, Barbara Lanham, reports the Group is going from strength to strength with 14 new members joining this year, bringing the total membership to 28.

The 16th annual Spring Art Exhibition is continuing to 4pm on Sunday, 9th October with 144 paintings on display, as well as pottery and woodwork. The exhibition was officially opened this year by Pamela Armstrong, Manager, Library and Cultural Services, Toowoomba Regional Council.

The Pittsworth Art Group invites tutors for workshops, and John Wilson from Katoomba  visits for a 2 day oils workshop each year.

Graham W. Smith has tutored in acrylics, Karol Oakley in pastels, Cess Sliedrecht in pen and wash and Robert Lovett in watercolour.

Barbara says these artists have given the Group fresh inspiration and new challenges to try different techniques and approaches to painting.Barbara says these artists have given the Group fresh inspiration and new challenges to try different techniques and approaches to painting.
