For the first time in over 30 years, Lifeline Darling Downs and South West Queensland Ltd is hosting a fundraising dinner/dance on Saturday 13 April 2019 to raise funds for their drought relief and counselling services.
“We are receiving calls daily as more farming families succumb to the devastating effects of the drought. As we currently receive no government funding for this initiative we decided a fundraising dinner/dance would be a great opportunity for the community to come together and show their support for our farmers whilst raising much needed funds for our drought relief and counselling servicesâ€Â, said Lifeline Darling Downs CEO Derek Tuffield.
The Return to the Titanic Fundraising Dinner is being held at the Cathedral Centre, Neil Street, Toowoomba from 6.30pm until late.
Tickets are only $120.00 per person and includes a specially designed three course meal from well renowned Chef Rick Osborne and some refreshments. A wonderful time is planned and there will also be live entertainment throughout the evening.
Guests are encouraged to dress in the style of the 1900’s or formal attire.
“Come along and enjoy dinner, dancing and a fundraising auction and help us support our farming community. We look forward to welcoming youâ€Â, Mr. Tuffield said.
