Kiyua Performing Arts Inc, formerly known as The Community Performing Arts Project, is a non for profit group of Volunteers who formed at Harlaxton in 2004. Their aim is to give young people the chance to learn dance, drama and meet new friends in a safe environment for free.
Kiyua, meaning ‘Free Spirit’ in the language of Central Australian Aboriginal people, provides positive influences in the lives of young people. It’s about showing them the wider world and allowing them to see a broader vision of the possibilities for them Kiyua’s vision is ‘A community based group nurturing self worth and personal development through performing arts’.
Kiyua invites you to their 2010 end of year performance: ‘When I grow up’ at the Empire Theatre 2.30pm Sunday 21st November 2010.

The ‘When I grow up’ theme was drawn from the young people themselves, to show their dreams, their journey of self discovery and inner strength they will take to get there.
