Explore The Future At USQ Open Day

The future is created by things we do today is a key theme of the USQ Toowoomba Open Day on Sunday (August 16) from 10am-2pm.

USQ Vice Chancellor and President Professor Jan Thomas said anyone who was wondering where a university degree could take them was invited to the Open Day where academic staff would take them on inspiring journeys of discovery in their specialist areas. “The USQ Toowoomba Open Day in 2015 has the theme 2020: Your Future,” Professor Thomas said.

“It supports the key message that study with USQ is the best choice to help you understand and help shape the future, for you and your community. Each campus Open Day will include Future Talks and short presentations on study options.”

Professor Thomas said Open Day was a great opportunity for people to consider their higher education plans and enjoy the various activities. “Open Day allows future students and the community a chance to learn about the latest course offerings and what resources are available,” she said.

Visitors are invited to browse through the information stands for details on all the degrees and programs that USQ offers including business and commerce, creative arts and media, education, engineering and built environment, health and community, humanities and communication, information technology, law and justice and sciences.

Professor Thomas said “There will also be enrolment information, how to apply, and the different ways to get into university, scholarships, postgraduate study and developing careers in research”.
