Dalby’s Delicious and DeLIGHTful Festival is Dalby’s signature multicultural festival taking place each August. In 2018, it will be a one day festival from 12 midday to 10 pm on Saturday, 18th August.
It will feature multicultural food and live entertainment with a spectacular lantern parade and fireworks display along the banks of the beautiful Myall Creek which runs through the centre of Dalby.
The spectacular Lantern Parade is unique with all lanterns created locally. In 2018, the parade will be even bigger with some wonderfully creative additions to the festival. The theme for the lanterns this year is “Under the Sea”.
The Dalby Filipino group will be entertaining the crowds with a DeLIGHTful display of colour and traditional dance and Belswagger Morris is one of South East Queensland’s oldest and finest Morris Dancing sides.
Embracing and celebrating multiculturalism and inclusivity, Dalby’s Delicious and DeLIGHTful Festival attracts locals and visitors alike. There’s a fun activity for everyone, from school groups and families to young adults and the elderly. The festival offers a varied range of workshops for children and includes an Australian citizenship ceremony welcoming new Australian citizens.
In short, a fun festival to be enjoyed by all!
