The organiser of the competition, Grahame Rogers, said that some exciting entries have already been received from all over Australia. Most of the entries so far have come from bird watchers. There are some great photos of our native Australian birds, but very few of the birds we keep as pets or the birds we eat. There are no entries yet from the local district, and no junior entries. This is surprising, given the high quality of the entries each year in the Crows Nest Show, and the great prizes on offer.â€
It is still not too late, he says. â€Entries close on Saturday, 1 October.
More information and entry forms are available from the Crow’s Nest Tourism website www.crowsnest.info, or by email to webmaster@crowsnest.info.
