Range Tennis Club in Toowoomba is holding an Open Day at the clubhouse on Sunday, 27th May 2018 to celebrate the Club’s 125th anniversary. Range is the oldest tennis club in Toowoomba and was one of the clubs instrumental in forming the Toowoomba Tennis Association based in James Street.
Club secretary, Tony Brown says “We are almost hidden from view between the Toowoomba Bowls Club and the grandstand of the Clive Berghofer Stadium, so we like to think of ourselves as Toowoomba’s hidden gem.
The celebration will include “competitions and cake” with afternoon tea at approximately 3pm. Tony says as many members and friends as possible are invited to be present. Toowoomba Region Mayor Paul Antonio and Deputy Mayor, Cr Carol Taylor are expected to attend.
